Waste Heat Recovery Boilers in Cement Plants

Waste Heat Recovery Boilers System Description

thyssenkrupp perfectly understands the pulse of your Cement plant and stands committed to deliver efficient power solutions to empower cement business of our customer’s cement business. Making plant self-reliant for its power needs, thyssenkrupp offers a customised one-stop solutions by offering complete waste heat recovery (WHR) power solutions. thyssenkrupp specialises in design and engineering, manufacture and supply of complete waste heat recovery based power plant for a cement plant. Unlike the conventional one, these power plants will utilise the waste heat emerging from the cement manufacturing process i.e., from pre-heater section and cooler section of the cement plant.

thyssenkrupp has in-house technology for waste heat recovery boilers. The WHR boilers supplied by thyssenkrupp Industries India is a natural circulation boiler well proven in many plants and under difficult conditions. They distinguish themselves by a robust and clear design best fitted for the demands of power stations or industrial applications. WHR boilers are designed and built for low maintenance and high reliability.

Further, using waste heat recovery boilers steam can be generated which will drive the steam turbine-generator to produce electric power. thyssenkrupp will engineer and procure the turbine-generator package and BOP (Balance of Plant) packages of the power plant and will carry out system integration on mechanical, electrical and instrumentation fronts.

The power generated from the waste heat recovery power plant will come at negligible operating cost, since no fuel needs to be fired, and will reduce the cost of cement production, which is a power-intensive process.

The power plant is completely environment-friendly since heat emissions in the atmosphere will reduce significantly thereby limiting greenhouse effect.
